Safety Information

Intended Use

This product is intended for **fursuit, costume, and cosplay construction and recreational use only**.

The headbase and included components are not protective equipment, safety helmets, medical devices, dental products, toys, or protective restraints.

General Safety

* Inspect all components before assembly and before each use.
* Do not use any component that is cracked, broken, torn, excessively worn, or otherwise damaged.
* Ensure all components are securely attached before wearing the finished costume.
* Improper assembly or modification may affect the strength and safety of the finished costume.
* Keep the product away from excessive heat, open flames, and high-temperature sources. **PLA and TPU may soften, deform, or lose structural integrity when exposed to excessive heat.**
* Do not use the headbase as protection against impacts or other physical hazards.
* Keep the finished costume away from situations where restricted vision or mobility could create a hazard.

PLA Components

The kit may contain PLA nose, eye blanks, and/or tongue components.

* PLA components may break or develop sharp edges if subjected to excessive force or impact.
* Inspect components regularly for cracks, breaks, or other damage.
* Do not use damaged components.
* Broken or detached pieces may present a choking hazard.
* Keep broken or detached components away from young children and pets.
* Do not expose PLA components to excessive heat or open flame.

PLA Tongue

The PLA tongue is a **decorative costume component**.

It is not intended to be:

* Chewed
* Swallowed
* Placed inside the mouth
* Used as a food-contact product
* Used as a dental product

Silicone Components

Some kit configurations may include silicone versions of the nose and/or tongue.

* Inspect silicone components for tears, cuts, punctures, or other damage before use.
* Do not excessively pull, stretch, bite, or otherwise abuse silicone components.
* Do not use significantly damaged or detached silicone components.
* Detached components may present a choking hazard.
* Keep detached or damaged components away from young children and pets.
* Silicone costume components are not intended to be swallowed or used as food, dental, or medical products.

Moving Jaw & Springs

The headbase may include a moving jaw mechanism using metal springs.

**Pinch Hazard**

* Keep fingers clear of the moving jaw mechanism during operation.
* Take care when assembling or adjusting the spring mechanism.
* Do not excessively stretch, bend, or modify the springs.
* Do not use damaged, broken, or deformed springs.
* A broken spring may expose sharp metal ends.
* Verify that the jaw operates correctly and safely before wearing the finished costume.

Magnets

Magnets may be included for component attachment or positioning.

**Important Magnet Safety**

* Do not swallow magnets.
* Keep loose or detached magnets away from children and pets.
* Inspect magnets and their mounting before use.
* Do not use the product if a magnet becomes loose or detached.
* Magnets may pinch fingers or skin.
* Magnets may interfere with certain magnetically sensitive medical devices. Follow the safety instructions applicable to any implanted or magnetically sensitive medical device.
* If a magnet is swallowed, seek medical attention promptly.

Visibility

Eye components must be installed correctly and finished appropriately.

* Verify that you have adequate vision before wearing the finished costume.
* Do not wear the costume while driving, cycling in traffic, operating machinery, or performing activities where restricted vision could cause injury.
* Ensure the finished costume does not unnecessarily obstruct your ability to see your surroundings.

Modification & Assembly

This product is designed to be customized by the purchaser.

When modifying the headbase:

* Use appropriate tools and protective equipment.
* Avoid creating sharp edges or weakened structural areas.
* Inspect modified areas before use.
* Ensure all attached components are securely mounted.
* Do not modify or remove safety-critical mechanical components in a way that could cause unexpected movement or component failure.

Children & Pets

This product is intended for costume/cosplay construction and is **not designed as a children's toy**.

Small components, broken pieces, springs, and magnets may present hazards to young children and pets.

Keep loose, detached, and damaged components out of their reach.
